Jesus did not say, “Come to me, all who are crushing it, living your best life and I will give you rest.” Jesus did say, “Come to me, all who are weary and burdened and I will give you rest.”

I don’t know about you but I think the world is weary–all the fighting, dividing, and politicizing of so many things. We’re tired and tired of it. The world’s ways make me weary.
The invitation of Jesus is so refreshing, and it’s real! He promises rest for our weary souls. And he promises to walk with us in this world providing peace, joy, and confidence. Then, we can share his love with this weary world.
