What are your default settings?

I belong to the Father. John 15 reminds us that if we belong to God, we will bear fruit. Concentrating on bearing the fruit that God wants in our lives, deepens our relationship and truly helps us know that we are connected to Him.

We have to get our default relationship connected to God. His fruit of the Spirit is the positive we bring that overcomes the negative of the sin nature. So, we must concentrate on the do’s instead of the do nots.

How do we overcome anger? We must show the opposite of anger through patience, kindness, & self-control. We have to pray and ask God to let these be our default settings. We have to put off the old flesh and free our mind of evil thoughts. Thinking about the good and all the positive that God is doing in your life helps you overcome the victim attitude and turn away from selfish thoughts! We can understand the difference of Godly anger from human anger through God’s word and wisdom, just like thinking about the difference of temporary life and eternal life.

What are your default settings when it comes to your everyday thoughts? Have you asked God to renew your mind this week?
