The Scout Oath
"On my honor I will do my best To do my duty to God and my country And to obey the Scout LawTo help other people at all times; To keep myself physically strong mentally awake, and morally straight."
Cub Scout Pack 164 is part of the Wapehani District, under the Hoosier Trails Council and includes four dens:
- Lions Den (Kindergarten)
- Tiger Cubs (1st grade)
- Wolf Cubs (2nd grade)
- Bear Cubs (3rd grade)
- Webelos (4th-5th grade)
Meetings
- Den meetings are the 1st & 3rd Tuesday of the month (Sept - April)
- Pack meetings are generally the 2nd Tuesday of the month
You may join Cub Scouts at any point...if you're in fourth grade, you're welcome to join Webelos...no need to go back and do the other badges.
Annual Fee
Your annual fee is just $75 and includes admission to all Pack activities, such as skiing, tubing, Indian's baseball game, Holiday World trip, rock climbing, camping, and more! To cover additional costs we sell popcorn in September as our main fundraiser.
Other Costs
Uniforms and handbooks are available locally at the Hoosier Trails Council building east of Bloomington on the way to Nashville. Uniform requirements for new Scouts include the blue uniform shirt (most kids opt for the short sleeve size medium), a blue webbed belt, and a neckerchief, slide and book for your appropriate den (for example, a 2nd grader would need the blue shirt, belt, and a Wolf neckerchief/slide/book).The shirt and belt will hold patches and loops your child earns each year, the following years you will only need to buy the neckerchief/slide/book for your child's new den. Many kids opt to purchase hats as well, but it's not necessary. Few kids in our Pack purchase the pants/shorts/long shirts.
