Sherwood Oaks Women's Ministries

We want to help women find their people! We have a variety of Bible studies, groups, events, activities and more designed to help women find their people! See what is offered below at our campus. If you don't find what you are looking for or for more information, email women@socc.org

Ladies' Table Fellowship

Join us on Wednesday, November 20, at 6:00pm in the Fellowship Hall for a fun evening of food and fellowship! There is something about a table that summons us. Eating together was a common, core practice for the early church, and we want to meet around a table to eat together with the women of Sherwood Oaks. We will also spend part of our time serving together by preparing and packing shoeboxes for Operation Christmas Child. We will be specifically packing for 10-14 year old boys. Needs include: soap, soap container, washcloths, school supplies, balls (soccer/pump, baseball, bouncy ball), tools (screwdriver, hammer, fishing kit, flashlight with batteries), filler toys (fidgets, books, journal, adult coloring book, marbles). Items can be dropped off to Melissa Abram at the main office, or items can be dropped off during the Wednesday bible study groups.

Ladies' Christmas Gathering

Ladies, join us on Saturday December 7th for our annual Ladies’ Christmas Gathering.  This event is such a special time for us to gather and prepare our hearts for the upcoming Christmas season. Doors open at 9am for a time of fellowship and a light breakfast, with the program beginning at 10am.  This year we are thrilled to welcome Kelley Dawson and Maggie Mobley as our guest speakers.  We look forward to celebrating with you! Please invite your friends and join us!

Women's Ministry Study: Bloomington Campus

Luke in the Land

In our Bibles, we have four Gospels describing Jesus’s time on earth: Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John. The land of Israel—the place Jesus walked and taught during His earthly ministry—is often referred to as the “fifth Gospel.” Follow Kristi McLelland through Israel as we study snapshots from the Gospel of Luke to see where the stories of the Bible took place. Over 7 sessions, challenge the way you read the accounts of Jesus through teaching videos that take you to locations in Israel like Bethlehem, the Sea of Galilee, Gethsemane, Jerusalem, and the road to Emmaus. Along the way, you'll see how Jesus, the Messiah, brought His kingdom to earth for everybody.

Join us on Wednesdays, beginning January 8th, with study times at 9:30am and 6pm.  Please plan to attend the study time that works best for you.
