You’ve probably heard the quote, When one door closes, another opens. Did you know Alexander Graham Bell said it, and there’s more to the quote? He continues, but we often look so long and regretfully upon the closed door that we do not see the one which has opened for us.

I’ve learned to be careful about closed doors and cautious generally about the past:
Look at the past.
Learn from it.
Make things right if you can–repent and/or forgive.
Then move on!
Someone said, “The windshield is bigger than the rearview mirror because where we are going is more important than where we have been.”
Paul in Philippians 3 says it like this:
I focus on this one thing: Forgetting the past and looking forward to what lies ahead, I press on to reach the end of the race and receive the heavenly prize for which God, through Christ Jesus, is calling us.
