I've experienced this recently in my own life, and it's really easy in these dazed and confused moments to try and stand on my own two feet without any help.
Oftentimes that just ends up with me flat on my back. It's these times when I'm especially grateful for the committed community found in my local church. Listen to these words from Proverbs 3. “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and do not lean on your own understanding in all your ways. Acknowledge him and he will make straight your paths. Be not wise in your own eyes. Fear the Lord and turn away from evil. It will be healing to your flesh and refreshment to your bones.”
The next time life knocks you down before you try and run. Take your breath. Take it to Jesus and talk to a friend. Then you'll know your path forward.
