God is Faithful in the Small Moments

Have you experienced a giant moment of faith in your life? In someone else’s life that you played a role in? Maybe you didn’t even see the trail of faith it took to get to where you are today, but looking back, you see the trust between you and God to get there. Or maybe you are praying to God right now, asking Him which way to move to be faithful to Him.

People, just regular people, can do amazing things with faith in Jesus Christ. Enoch, Noah, Abraham, and Sarah… to name a few. These people were just people like you and me. But they had faith.

The Lord replied, “If you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mulberry tree, ‘Be uprooted and planted in the sea,’ and it will obey you. Luke 17:6

God is faithful to us in even the little things. In fact, in today’s fast-paced world mentality of how can I make more money and how can I make more extravagant friends and how can I fill up my schedule with this and that, He asks us to not lose sight of the small ways we can be faithful to Him. The small nudges from the Holy Spirit to pay for someone else’s meal when you see a stranger that could really benefit from being shown God’s love, even if that means you eat a little less that night. The small nudges that send you over to introduce yourself to a new face in the pew, even though you don’t even know if you’ll remember your name when you get there. (Totally not speaking from experience… wink wink!)
God might just be calling you to one of the most impactful acts of faith through something as small as this. Or maybe you've been called to take a bigger leap of faith, as my brother & his family recently have - like downsizing and taking a lesser-paying job to fulfill a much-needed role in your community and to impact the lives of young people on a larger scale, even if that means living a little less glamorously.

Don’t miss your moment to be faithful to Him!
