Is God asking you to be faithful?

Imagine climbing a mountain 6000 feet high. Now, imagine climbing that mountain three times in one week at 80 years of age.

Hi, I'm Maggie Mobley from Sherwood Oaks Christian Church. In the book of Exodus, we read about a funny exchange where God asks Moses to climb a mountain. Moses climbed this mountain three times to bring messages from God to those at the bottom.

But what was the purpose of all those long trips? Why not just make one trip up the mountain? I'm certain that when Moses was climbing the mountain for the third time, he could not see the purpose of his journey. Yet he obeyed and was faithful to what God asked him to do. Sometimes we find ourselves on a journey in which we can't see the purpose.

When we find ourselves in the Lord's waiting room or in a season of life that we don't understand. We can be sure that God is redefining something in us that we had all wrong. Our purpose is to be faithful. Mother Teresa once said, God has not called me to be successful. He has called me to be faithful. If you ever find yourself in the middle of a long climb and cannot see the purpose, just be faithful.

Being faithful to God will provide all the success you need.
