Exactly 2 years and 2 days ago, my family moved to Bloomington, Indiana from Chantilly, Virginia.
While we were excited to move, it was hard. We hired a moving company to help with the move so arranging all those details were time consuming. It was hard to say goodbye to familiar faces. It was tough to get everything that the moving company wouldn't take in the moving truck into one of our cars for the journey. Additionally, we had 2 children and 2 cats and a host of houseplants to transport (traveling with cats is always fun!).
Then... once we arrived... and our stuff arrived... we had all of that to deal with...
Moving is tough.
But we knew where we were going. I have always been amazed at those from the pages of Scripture that God asked to move. He called Peter and Andrew, James and John to follow him. He sent Paul to preach the message of the gospel all around the known world at that time. He told Abram to go to a land completely unknown to him. And in those instances, they obeyed immediately. If they had questions, they didn't ask them. They simply obeyed.
Today, God might not be asking you to move across the country... or across the county... but he might be asking you to move across the room or across your street to connect with a neighbor or friend. Asking you to move out and serve Him in a new way.
Where is God asking you to move?
