It's been a blessing to not grow up with a spending problem.
However, I wasn't always thankful for it or how I learned it.
Growing up we just didn't have a lot of money to spend.
And we didn't have credit card problems because my stepdad's first wife had put him through bankruptcy.
So credit card debt, loans, and frivolous spending were not habits I was familiar with.
It's amazing the things you think are so unfair and caused you to miss out on so much, but actually turn out to be a blessing long term.
Hard lessons come in many forms.
It's often not till the other side we look back at it and say; I'm thankful for what I learned.
Whether you've learned the hard way or the HARD WAY (you pick which is harder), you learned!
Go and do your best today!
Maybe even thank the Lord for something you've never considered being a valuable lesson.
Take those lessons and make decisions with the knowledge you have today.
