It’s officially twenty, twenty three. How’s it going so far?
Hi, I’m Shawn from Sherwood Oaks Christian Church with today’s Minute Message.
In the hustle and bustle of the new year, I invite you to take a couple of deep breaths and listen to the prayer that Jesus used to teach US how to pray…
“Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name, your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us today our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one.”
The Message Paraphrase ends with this… “You’re in charge! You can do anything you want! You’re ablaze in beauty.”
To me, the most amazing words in this prayer are the first two…“Our Father.” Jesus invites us to join in His relationship with God and made a way for us to be warmly welcomed into His family.
