We moved into a new neighborhood this week! We are pretty excited, and as you can imagine, slightly overwhelmed with unpacking. As we settle into this new neighborhood, I hope we can remember Jesus' parable of the lost sheep from Luke 15. I think I will re-read it again right after I finish this post!
Just as the shepherd left the 99 to find the one, God calls us to seek out and care for those around us. For me right now this might look like taking time to pray for my new neighbors, asking God to reveal those who may feel lost or alone. It may look like being intentional in building relationships, showing Christ's love through simple acts of kindness. Our presence in this new community is an opportunity to be a light, reflecting the heart of Jesus who rejoices over every lost soul found.
